The San Carlos Apache Tribe Wellness Center is a tribally
run out-patient mental health and substance abuse program.

The Wellness Center is one of the busiest tribally-run mental health clinics in Indian Country in the Southwest. It was one of the only tribal programs honored with the HIS "Director's Award of Excellence" in 2007 then became the first tribally run program in the Southwest to earn international accreditation through CARF in 2008 - one of the highest standards of practice available in the behavioral health field.

Additionally, WC clinical and prevention protocol are shared with and utilized by other programs throughout Indian Country and the state of Arizona.
